ABC To-Do stores your tasks in your browser's local storage. This means your tasks are saved directly on your device and not in the cloud. While this provides privacy and instant access, it also means:
To protect your tasks: Avoid clearing your browser cache unless absolutely necessary. If you need to clear cache, consider writing down your important tasks first.
When you first open ABC To-Do, you'll see a table with empty rows ready to fill and one prepopulated task: "Planning and solitude" set as A1 with an In Process status. This reflects a core best practice — start each day with quiet planning time to review your priorities before diving into work.
Priorities consist of two parts: a letter and a number.
Click on a task's priority to change it at any time.
Click on the status input for any task (far left input) to open the status menu. Available statuses:
To delete a task from your list, click on the status input (far left) and select "Remove." The task will be permanently deleted from your list. Note: This action cannot be undone, so make sure the task is no longer needed before removing it.
A: Currently, tasks are stored locally on your device. Cloud sync functionality may be added in a future update.
A: Unfortunately, deleted tasks cannot be recovered as they're removed from local storage immediately. Be careful when selecting the "Remove" status.
A: There's no hard limit, but for best results, focus on managing your most important tasks. Too many tasks can make prioritization difficult.
A: Export functionality is not currently available but may be added in future updates.
